Franz Anthonie GERBER, Arrived at Cape 1758 on board Krooneneberg. Soldier. From Epfig, Alsace [Border region between Germany and France]. Burgher in 1764. Worked as a wagonmaker in Stellenbosch. Married Catharina VAN DYK on 6 December 1767. He died in 1793.
