GRäBE Johann Conrad

Theophillus was born circa 1730 in Slupsk, Prussia, today this is part of Poland.
The GRäBE surname means” people who dig in a cemetery or who dig waterways” A version of the spelling of the name is GREEVE.
He was a cabinet maker.
He married Anna Dorothea STöBER.

He came to South Africa in 1783. At that time his wife had already died.

His son Johann Conrad, born on 3 August 1770 in the western district of Marburg-Biedenhorf, in Hesse Germany, accompanied him.

Johann Conrad married Dina Johanna ODENDAAL.
Johann Conrad died on 19 December 1834

They had the following children:
