AGGENBACH Carl


Carl Aggenbach (in GMR called Hagenbach. Nassau-Weilburg). Marburg is given as his birth place. He arrived at the Cape in 1763 as soldier. He became a burgher in 1769. His occupation was also listed as a tailor. He married 14 March 1773 Gesina BEUKES. She was baptised 21 Jul 1754 the seventh child of Hendrik Beukes and Christina du Plessis.

b1 Jan Hendrik married 19 Oct 1794 Gloudina Maria van der Heever born 3 Sep 1777, baptised 17 Apr 1778 Cape of Good Hope, died 9 Mar 1850 Tweefontein, Namaqualand. (d.o. Jan Augustus vd Heever, the son of the VD HEEVER Progenitor who trekked to Namaqualand in the late 1700's and Catharina vd Westhuizen)
